Upcoming Wednesdays

Have you enjoyed being a part of Wednesday nights lately?  I have, and its been great to find another way to go deeper together.

If you have been coming on Wednesday nights, I want to encourage you to stay connected.  And if you haven’t there’s no time like the present.

Heres what we have in store for the next few weeks.

Wednesday March 4th  – a Conversation on outreach

We will talk about what evangelism and outreach looks like in the community around us.  During For the Life of the World we talked about pursuing justice through hospitality.  This week we will talk about some practical ideas for building this into our lives.  How can we form communities of people who welcome the “stranger” and love the “foreigner.”  Join us IN THE COMMONS on Wednesday night at 6.

Wednesday March 11 – Missional Community Night is OFF

So we had a great evening planned for early march with sledding, and skating and that kind of thing.  The problem is, theres no snow (and barely any freezing weather) planned for the next week.  We are going to encourage you to take this wednesday night when there are no programs at church and invite someone from the church community over for coffee, dessert, a meal, or just volunteer somewhere in the community. Look for people you would like to know better and invite them into your lives and into community.

Wednesday March 18th – “Unstuck” Begins

This is an excellent video Based Bible study that can motivate us to move forward in loving and serving those around us.  It speaks to our own suffering as well as that of others and helps us to learn to be people of hope in a hurting world.  You can see the trailer and read a description below.
