Sept 18 Daily Rhythms
Morning
Psa. 1:1-2
Blessed is the man
who walks not in the counsel of the wicked,
nor stands in the way of sinners,
nor sits in the seat of scoffers;
but his delight is in the law of the LORD,
and on his law he meditates day and night.
There is always a choice in what seed we plant in our mind. Pray that today, God helps you to choose to plant his word in your heart.
Afternoon
Ps 1:3-4
He is like a tree
planted by streams of water
that yields its fruit in its season,
and its leaf does not wither.
In all that he does, he prospers.
The wicked are not so,
but are like chaff that the wind drives away.
The Bible is full of agricultural references. The person who remains in God’s word “Day and Night” will flourish like a healthy plant. The one who does not will waste away. Pray for perseverance and faithfulness.
Evening
Ps 1:5-6
Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,
nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous;
for the LORD knows the way of the righteous,
but the way of the wicked will perish.
LORD, Let my way be the way of faithfulness to you. Keep us as we rest and fill our hearts with Good.
