March 7 Daily Rhythm
Morning
Psalm 86:11-13
Teach me your way, O Lord, that I may walk in your truth; unite my heart to fear your name. I give thanks to you, O Lord my God, with my whole heart, and I will glorify your name forever. For great is your steadfast love toward me; you have delivered my soul from the depths of Sheol.
Oh God, you have been so good. SO very kind to rescue and restore our brokenness. Help us to depend upon you more today than we did yesterday. Help us to remember that you and you alone are our hope for a better tomorrow.
Afternoon
Psalm 86:14-15
O God, insolent men have risen up against me; a band of ruthless men seeks my life, and they do not set you before them. But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.
Father, there is no one like you. There is no place I can go where grace, love and faithfulness are in greater supply. We try to find it elsewhere and are always reminded that all other hopes are futile. thank you for reminding us today that there is no other hope.
Evening
Psalm 86:16-17
Turn to me and be gracious to me; give your strength to your servant, and save the son of your maidservant. Show me a sign of your favor, that those who hate me may see and be put to shame because you, Lord, have helped me and comforted me.
Show me a sign of your favor, the Psalmist cries. God, we ask the same and we remember that the bloody cross where you, Lord Jesus gave your life for us is the greatest sign of your favor we could ever see. Thank you for bearing those wounds to win our love. Help us to love you tonight.
