March 28 Daily rhythm

Morning
Psalm 94:8-9

Understand, O dullest of the people! Fools, when will you be wise? He who planted the ear, does he not hear? He who formed the eye, does he not see?

God, you hear, you see. You know. Sometimes we look around the world in shock at the blatant disregard so many of our neighbors seem to have for you. But when we look in the mirror we also sometimes see a fool looking back. God won’t you restore us? We trust in your grace!

Afternoon
Psalm 94:10-11

He who disciplines the nations, does he not rebuke? He who teaches man knowledge— the LORD—knows the thoughts of man, that they are but a breath.

We are but a breath, you are forever. Your grace is enough for us.

Evening
Psalm 94:12-13

Blessed is the man whom you discipline, O LORD, and whom you teach out of your law, to give him rest from days of trouble, until a pit is dug for the wicked.

God won’t you teach us to be holy, not because we want to be better than our neighbors, but because we want to enjoy your fellowship. We know that when we walk with you in beauty and truth, we will feel you with us. There is nothing we want more.
