March 22 Daily Rhythm
Morning
Psalm 91:9-10
Because you have made the LORD your dwelling place— the Most High, who is my refuge— no evil shall be allowed to befall you, no plague come near your tent.
There is always evil. if you are reading this, chances are evil HAS befallen you. What’s up? I want to remind you that the one great evil that could befall us is to lose the faithfulness of God to us. There is trouble under the sun, the scriptures are clear. God has said he will never abandon his own.
Afternoon
Psalm 91:11-13
For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. On their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone. You will tread on the lion and the adder; the young lion and the serpent you will trample underfoot.
These verses point us to our rescuer Jesus. These verses were used to tempt him to avoid trouble. Instead, he entered trouble, pain, torture and death. To win you and I. Praise him today.
Evening
Psalm 91:14-16
“Because he holds fast to me in love, I will deliver him; I will protect him, because he knows my name. When he calls to me, I will answer him; will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.
These verses also point us to Jesus. Jesus was delivered, protected, and answered. There is no other who has had the sort of faithfulness of Jesus Christ. Except that because we are united to him, we receive all the benefits of his faithfulness. Rest well dearly beloved child of the king.
