Do You Feel Lonely?

More than half of American adults admit that they often feel alone.  We live in a divided culture, we live in a social media world, and most days many of us stay alone on our devices and feel the depth of the loneliness.

I don’t know about you, but I’m an introvert.  And I hate to tell you, but even introverts experience loneliness.

We need people.  We need people who will see us and know us.  We also need to know that people care about us.  This is a good reason to risk showing up sometimes at church.  And it’s also a good reason to come often.

A community of people who know they are there for each other.  Certainly we are all scared and a little timid.  And yes, sometimes we all show up looking for someone to care for us, and not always hoping to love others.

But if we show up together and care for one another, and we all know that we are all a little scared and insecure, then I think the church community will be the best place to begin to change our feelings of loneliness.

Join us sometime. Let’s be a community together.
