K Group Discussion from Daniel 2

Today we talked about the dream that the king had and what it meant.  The point of this chapter is not to “foretell the future” (at least not in specifics) but to remind us that all the kingdoms of man are dust before the power, might and authority of God.

What are some of the “kingdoms” we trust in?

What do our smaller gods and our smaller kingdoms promise us?  Why are they so hard to let go of?

Someone tell a story of a time something you loved or wanted was taken away.  Where in that story can you find grace and mercy?

Why can it be a good thing to let go of our kingdoms?
