Discussion from Judges Chapter 14 and 15
Looking at Judges 14 and 15 we see a trajectory where Samson begins with lust and ends with murder. What is mainly being taught is in 14:4, that “God is seeking an opportunity against the Philistines.” The people have come to be so assimilated into Philistine culture that they don’t even want to be set free.
Discussion
1) What are some ways that the church today may be wanting to live at peace with the culture?
2) How can we oppose our culture while still loving it and trying to restore it?
3) How can you see God’s grace at work in the lives of his people in this passage?
4) Can you think of a time where God has taken something bad and used it as a way of showing you or others his grace?
