Advent Day 15

Job 37:2-3
Keep listening to the thunder of his voice and the rumbling that comes from his mouth.  Under the whole heaven he lets it go, and his lightning to the corners of the earth.
Be quiet for a second. What sounds do you her right now?
It probably not thunder today. If you stand outside for a minute you may hear the gentle snow fall. Thats a great sound. Maybe you hear the cold. You know what I mean, that silence that only really cold weather can bring. maybe you hear the heat warming your house, or traffic on the road outside.
Every sound you hear is a reminder of God’s great voice. It may be the compassion of an ambulance or the justice of the police. Perhaps it is the goodness of God that keeps you warm, or the silent whisper of his presence.
God is the Lord of Heaven and earth. He is reminding us today that he os present with us. Will you listen?
Prayer
God, help me to hear you speaking your presence to me. I hear a lot of voices. I want to hear yours best.
