We talked about waiting.  I can’t help but hear Tom Petty in my head when I say that. He was right, it’s the hardest part.

What do we need to do as we wait?

Prepare the Way of the Lord

Such an important an overlooked concept.  And this always begins, as it does in the stories with John the Baptist with repentance.

What do we need to repent of?

Where do we harbor bitterness?

Where do we harbor shame?

Where do we harbor self-sufficiency and duty?

Name a few of these things and ask this question: What does the Gospel message of Jesus have to say about these things?
