A Covenant God?

What is a covenant?  It’s a good question!  A covenant is sort of like an agreement.  An agreement between two partners.

This is a normal question, but an essential thing in order to understand who we are and who God is.  The Bible that sits on many shelves in America is NOT about how we can be good, its NOT about a bunch of people who were really good once.  It’s about a God who enters into a covenant relationship with people.

This story is about a deity who claims to hold absolute authority over the earth and enters into a contractual relationship with its inhabitants.

Beginning in September at BCC we will explore this covenant.  What are the terms of the contract?  What Does God commit himself to do?  What are we supposed to do?  What is the Bible really all about after all?

This series begins September 13th at 10AM and then starting on September 20th we will meet at 9:15 and 11:00.  Join us and learn more about the God of the Covenant.
